We’re getting married y’all!

I contemplated sharing the news on social media. Not because I’m not happy because hello, I’m over the moon happy and excited, but because people who brag and boast seriously irk my nerves and I didn’t want to come across that way. And let’s face it, some people don’t wish you well. Oh, and I also have this weird guilt for being happy when loved ones are so sad…I should probably unpack that with a therapist at some point…But for those of you who have followed my blog from the beginning, I wanted you all to hopefully join in my excitement. If you’ve been here from the beginning, you may remember my first post, “Baby daddy or wait on Jesus.” My hopes always remained high and I kept the faith, but I did often wonder if God was hearing my prayers. I waited nearly 10 years after being divorced before I met the one. I knew I wanted at least a child, but as the years flew by, I wondered if that would EVER happen. No, I’m not preggo, but I still have faith and hope that God will hear our prayers and make that happen too!

Back to the news, I’m engaged y’all! I can’t believe it’s really happening, but it is! My fiancé….eeeek, I have a fiancé….is the best thing that ever walked into my life and I’m blessed to have met such an amazing, kind, and loving man. I won’t keep gushing because that’s annoying, but he’s just the best. And I can’t wait to marry him.

I’m still on cloud nine since the weekend and can’t stop staring at my hand. I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful ring. It’s perfect.

My prayer is for anyone reading this to find love and don’t lose hope. God hears your prayers and I’m a witness! I don’t plan on turning my blog into a wedding site, but there may be an occasional update here and there. Thank you guys for reading and following my journey over the years.
