Highlights from Nassau/Atlantis

Standard

Happy Friday y’all! I’ve been a super slacker with blogging lately, but I hope everyone is having an amazeballs summer so far! I just got back about a week ago from the Bahamas. It was such an awesome vacay and much needed after the year I’ve had. I went with my college friend Sara and her daughter, who’s now my new BFF. We stayed at Atlantis, which is a massive resort. It’s such a beautiful property. And when I say it’s massive, it really is! We were there for 5 days and never saw everything!

Just wanted to share with you guys some highlights from my trip. First of all, like I said, Atlantis is such a beautiful place to stay and explore. There’s aquariums, beautiful beaches, and the architecture itself is simply amazing. I can see why kids love it there because there’s also a water park, lazy river, and so many other things to do.

One day we also took a taxi to go into Nassau. We did a little shopping at the straw market, which was very interesting. As you know if you’ve visited the islands, haggling over prices is quite common and fun to me!

The water and sand in the Bahamas is breathtakingly beautiful. I had an ocean view room and loved sitting on the balcony listening to the waves.

And I can’t tell you how good the drinks were everywhere we went 😁

If you haven’t been to the Bahamas yet, go! But unless you’re taking a family, I’d stay somewhere other than Atlantis. There was a Riu property right next door, so if I go back to Nassau, I’ll be staying there next.

What trips do you guys have planned for the summer? Up next for me is taking my mom to the beach…somewhere. We’ll be going in September. Whatever you guys have planned, I hope you have an awesome summer!

Highlights from Puerto Rico

Standard

Well it’s been almost a week since I’ve been back from my amazeballs vacay to San Juan, PR. I always have the same feeling when it’s time to come back home, but I sooooooo didn’t want to leave! We stayed at the La Concha Renaissance hotel which was in an awesome location. We were right on the beach, yay, and close to numerous restaurants and shops. We actually ate all of our meals outside of the hotel because the hotel food prices were crazy expensive. That’s my major downside about visiting PR, there’s no all inclusive options, or at least I didn’t find any when I was looking.

Of course I took a gazillion pics, so I figured I’d share a few of my faves with y’all!

This is a view from the hotel where one of the pools were and the entrance to the beach. I could have just sat here for days. The breeze from the ocean was perfect!

This was one of the infinity pools overlooking the beach. I’m more of a beach versus pool person but this view was the best of both worlds!

Ok this breakfast sandwich was the bomb.com!!!! I can’t even remember the name of the restaurant but I could eat this thing everyday! It had eggs, bacon, cheese, onions, and the most amazing, soft, delish bread I’ve ever had 😋

This pic makes me laugh just looking at it. This guy worked at our hotel and was the first person we met when we arrived. He was quite a character. I asked him to take our pic and this is what we got! #photobombed 😂

Of course I had to do a little shopping. I bought this super cute ring on the beach. I haggled with him on the price of course!

The water was a little rough so I didn’t stay in long, but there’s nothing like salt water and the beach to cure the blues! This year has been a doozy so far so I definitely needed this time away!

This was the most delish drink I’ve ever had! Almost too pretty to drink! It was a strawberry dacqueri inside a pineapple. Mmmm mmmm good!!!!!

Of course I have a gazillion more pics, but these are a few of my absolute faves! Where did you guys spend your vacays this summer?
