Ok, first of all, this is not a tutorial because I didn’t do the work 😁 but I had to share a project that I had done last week! I have some old, like first apartment old, furniture in my guest bedroom. I hated the color of the wood, and it was cheap and old, so I wanted to do something with it, without having to purchase new furniture. I love chalk painted, distressed furnishings, so I knew that’s the look I was going for. I knew I didn’t want to do the work because I’d always rather pay someone instead! I found someone who could do it at a reasonable price, and here’s the outcome!
The first project was a dresser. It turned out amazeballs!
After I saw how great it looked, I wanted an old table I had by the bed done. I’m so glad I did! This table actually came from Family Dollar or Dollar General, so I mean what I say when I say it was cheap!
This is what the pieces looked like before. As you can see, they look cheap and old!
I’m thrilled with my furniture now! I can’t wait to get something else done! Have you guys painted furniture before? It’s such a great alternative to purchasing new furniture!
Happy Sunday y’all! The procrastinator that I am waits until Sunday to clean. So cleaning is fresh on the brain! This is something that has nothing to do with anything I blog about but I’m so excited about how well this cleaner worked, I just had to share! I hate cleaning, but I do love a clean house. My last boyfriend even told me that my house was “too clean” whatever that means!
So, I was shopping at Walmart on Friday and was looking for a new cleaner. My tub gets so dirty. You’d swear I never take showers if you looked at my tub at the end of the week! I still don’t know where all the dirt comes from 😳 I feel like I’ve tried every cleaner out there and haven’t quite found one that really works. After seeing the commercials for years, I finally decided to try CLR.
Y’all, this stuff is a miracle worker! I can’t believe how well it worked and I didn’t even have to scrub until my arm felt like it was about to fall off! I’ve only used it in the tub so far but it says it works on multiple surfaces.
I also found this little brush at Walmart, and it’s the bomb.com!
So, here’s my super clean bathtub, thanks to CLR!
I’m a forever fan now, I don’t think I’ll try anything else! Have you guys found a cleaner that really, really works for the tub?
One of the things I do best is sleep! I’d probably even prefer sleeping over eating, and that’s saying something since I love food so much!
Besides my love of fashion, I also love to decorate my home and I’m always perusing the home decor section at my happy place, Ross. I spotted a Ross while visiting my sister on Saturday, and of course I had to stop by! Glad I did because it was a good one. All Ross stores are not created equal. There are some that I never find anything at, so I do get what people are saying when they tell me they never find the things that I do at Ross.
I wasn’t planning on buying new bedding, but I also couldn’t pass up an amazeballs deal! In my head, I was seeing some kind of orange, paisley combo, and my vision came to be, so I’m super excited!
Style and fashion doesn’t have to just stop at clothing. I’m a firm believer that your personal style should also be reflected in your home. I love color, and you can definitely tell when you come into my home. It’s kind of like a box of crayons threw up, but I love it!
What are some of your fav colors that you love to decorate with. I love orange, green, and yellow…well pretty much any color 😊
I’m a sucker for home improvement projects. There’s always something I want to do around the house. Updating your light fixtures is a quick and easy way to give a room a little pizazz! During a recent Homegoods visit, I found this amazeballs lighting fixture that was exactly what I had been looking for, for my foyer. And by foyer I mean the tiny little area when you walk into my house!
I love how it sparkles from the crystals. Now I want to update all of my fixtures! Also, I have to give a shout out to my man for installing it for me! New lighting can be expensive but if you’re a bargain shopper like me, you can always find a good deal!
Do you have any quick home improving tips or any fav projects you’ve done?
