Brain Dump: Week of 11.10

Happy Monday y’all!

This week’s brain dump. Let’s discuss!

1. As a kid I was shy, but now I realize the shyness was just me being an introvert. I’m a much better 1:1 or small group hanger outer, and why I only show up at Homecoming for milestone events. I’ve never even been to a high school Homecoming or reunion 🤷🏽‍♀️
2. Soooooo looking forward to a holiday tomorrow. Thank you Veterans for your service!
3. Woke up with my back feeling like an 85 year old on Saturday. I remember being in middle school and suddenly my back did something weird and I couldn’t stand up straight for a couple days! So, I guess I can’t blame it on being born in the 1900s and over 40 probs 😂
4. I really hope one day I’ll enjoy the holidays again, because I used to LOVE them! I also can’t wait until we have a bigger house with space for my Christmas tree again! Pretty sure my neighbors think I’m acting funny because I stopped making them Christmas cookies, but my Dad’s death anniversary the day after Christmas has taken my holiday jolliness…
5. If I save these bags of clothes & shoes for the people that sent the mailer about picking up donations on the 24th and they don’t pick them up, I’m gonna be pissed 😂
6. I had three rounds of interviews last month, only to be told I was 2nd and they hired someone else. 3 rounds!!! I guess 2nd place is admirable, but in my Brandy voice, almost doesn’t count. If your place of employment needs a Communications Specialist, I’m your girl! Still working, would just love to get out of the contractor biz.
7. I guess we missed the leaves changing colors in the mountains again this year, but after we went too early a few years ago, I just haven’t felt like being let down again 😂
8. I guess my diet is better because my weekend meals used to consist of pizza, chicken cheese steaks, wings & fries, but goodness gracious compromising on food is getting to be quite the challenge around these parts!
9. James Brown was a bad mofo! When I get my hair straightened, a certain somebody always got jokes about my blowout looking like Soul Brother #1 😂
10. I’ve met some really dope people over the years, really hate I didn’t keep in touch with many!
