Highlights from Aruba

Hey y’all! My 40th birthday was a little over a week ago. I went to Aruba to ring in the big 4-0! We had such an amazeballs time. I had never taken a full week-long vacay before, so I was worried that I’d be ready to come back home after a few days, but nope! I actually could have stayed longer if I could have!

Here’s some of my fav moments from vacay. And if you ever have a chance to go to Aruba, go!!!! I can definitely see why people are repeat vacationers there.

  • Shopping

I found some pretty cool things. Some cool jewelry, and of course I found a pair of shoes 😊 there was a Zara there, and I had never been there before, so I was excited to get to go into one!

This ring is probably my fav purchase. The stone is Larimar, and only found in the Caribbean, how cool is that?!

  • Food

The resort was all-inclusive. In my experience, the food at these resorts can be hit or miss. I liked the food surprisingly better at the buffet restaurants at the resort, but we did venture outside of the resort to get some local eats a couple times and the seafood didn’t disappoint!

  • Sunset cruise

Every time I go to a beach, I always say I’m going to see the sunrise/sunset. And on my actual birthday, I finally got to see it on a sunset cruise! It was a beautiful and awesome experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday!

  • Out of my box adventure

So, I’m a girlie girl. Always have been, and always will! But as in any relationship, compromise is an important key to a lasting one, so I had to do some things my other half wanted to do, like water sports and ATVing 🙂 So, basically I felt like I was about to die two days in a row! I didn’t like the tube ride so much because I have a fear of falling off into the water…because I actually have done that before…but the ATV tour was cool. I was a passenger and didn’t have to do the driving and maneuvering in the rough terrain, but I rode on the back like a champ!

Overall, I loved everything about Aruba! I can see why people are repeat vacationers there. We met so many people go there time and time again. If you ever have the opportunity to go, then go! The weather was beautiful. The water was beautiful. The people were some of the nicest I’ve ever encountered. What a way to ring in Chapter 40!
